Surah Az Zumar Ayat 6 Translation Tafseer

Para 23 - وَ مَا لِیَ

سورة الزمر

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

39.6

خَلَقَكُمْ مِّنْ نَّفْسٍ وَّاحِدَةٍ ثُمَّ جَعَلَ مِنْهَا زَوْجَهَا وَ اَنْزَلَ لَكُمْ مِّنَ الْاَنْعَامِ ثَمٰنِیَةَ اَزْوَاجٍؕ-یَخْلُقُكُمْ فِیْ بُطُوْنِ اُمَّهٰتِكُمْ خَلْقًا مِّنْۢ بَعْدِ خَلْقٍ فِیْ ظُلُمٰتٍ ثَلٰثٍؕ-ذٰلِكُمُ اللّٰهُ رَبُّكُمْ لَهُ الْمُلْكُؕ-لَاۤ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَۚ-فَاَنّٰى تُصْرَفُوْنَ(6)

Kanz-ul-Irfan

He created you from one life, then made from him his wife, [1] and He made eight pairs of beasts for you. He creates you in the wombs of your mothers in three stages of darkness, one state followed by another. This Allah is your Lord, the kingdom belongs to Him, alone; there is none worthy of worship except Him, so where are you turned away?

Commentary

[1]

“One life” refers to Prophet Ādam عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلَام, and “his wife” refers to the noble Ḥawwāʾ رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهَا.
